An excellent basic beginner's guide to Zen.

In many ways the art of writing consists of an ability to make the complex understandable. This book succeeds at explaining Zen, which is a complex philosophical concept, in 10 easy lessons. This is an excellent book for those just beginning their journey into the way of Zen. It gives a brief history of Zen, and moves into explaining the main precepts of Zen, the basic theory of Zen, Zen in the home, at work, Zen in the garden, Zen at play and other topics. This book also has an excellent glossary, books for further development, and useful addresses. In conclusion, this is a book for anyone who has an interest in learning the basic philosophy of Zen. Rating: 5 stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Season of the Warrior: a poetic tribute to warriors, Martial Art Myths, Never Trust a Politician, PR-24 Baton Advanced Techniques, Tanto-Jutsu).
