Jenna Duncan's brother, Bobby Joe, has taken up gambling and at times put her farm, Twin Oaks, up for a gambling debt. Jenna has no use or trust of a gambling man. Going to Turner's Pond she ran into a desperately wounded man. She couldn't believe it, the man she had fallen in love with, Blue Montgomery, had finally come to her. First she had to save his life. Only it turns out that he can't remember his own name or why he was here. But he still had the same gorgeous blue eyes that she remembered. They had been corresponding with each other over the years. "Blue" and she were going to restore Twin Oaks to it former splendor. She so looked forward to marriage to "Blue" and having children, a family of her own. Just after they were married, when "Blue" saved a man's life he suddenly remembered who he was. Boy does this lead him into a lot of trouble. He has to tell Jenna who he is. Cash Callahan, a gambler. It takes many months and a lot of hard work on Twin Oaks and Cash still can't win Jenna's trust. But he must save her from the dangers of the Wendell gang. Ben and Rosalinda help Jenna farm and are trying to help Cash with Jenna. They are a great couple and Jenna's best friends. Bobby Joe shows up at the last minute and helps prevent the cold blooded murder of Cash and Jenna. I have tried not to give away the whole story -- it makes a good read.
