Interesting and Informative

"Who Were the Celts" provides a unique account of the customs, history, culture, and legacy of one of history's most enigmatic civilizations. Although a breif history of the Celts is provided in the first chapter of the book, the next 13 chapters are divided into small sections ranging in length from one paragraph to several pages. These sections cover individual topics such as "Celtic Dogs", "The Celtic Banquet", and "Celtic Weapons". They provide the reader with detailed information about hundreds of different subjects, and open a window into a distant culture. "Who Were the Celts" is a collection of information and facts that also reads very well. One can open to any page and learn something new. Also, the topics are well organized and the 'sections' about different aspects of Celtic culture and life are placed in chapters in which the topics are related. Several maps and dozens of illustrations help to make this book an excellent resource and fascinating read for anyone interested in Celtic history. Experts and casual readers alike can appreciate this excellent book.
