HG is a condition most commonly known for extreme vomiting and nausea during pregnancy. She was bedridden for months, living on IV fluids, and the creation of this book was a saving grace. It gave her and her family something to create together during such a difficult time.

Her hope is that this book will inspire other families when they experience times and/or seasons of maternal illness, because family is all about relationships. No matter what a mother can and cannot do (because, that can change), who she is and her irreplaceable role in the family is forever.
