Vicente Ferrer is considered one of the most active people in aid and cooperation with the underprivileged of the Third World. A man of action and a solid humanist background, he came to India in 1952 as a Jesuit missionary. Since then, until his death in 2009, he has worked tirelessly for the equality and dignity of the poorest and most vulnerable people, fostering development and social transformation in the most depressed areas of the country. Thanks to its extraordinary work and that of the foundation it launched, thousands of people have been able to count on a decent future. Vicente Ferrer's story is that of someone who, from a very young age, realized that there were things around him that didn't work well, and that maybe he could do something to change them.
