Wonderful blend of historical romance

I found the way the author blended the history of the trakeher horse during World War II fascinating. His blend of history with an intriguing romance was powerful. Kept me turning the pages all through the night. Just what I want out of a novel. Great read!

Epic romance

If youloved the Horse Whisperer, you're going to love Vanishing Breed. At least I did. The story, from what the forward says, was based on real events. I loved the Brad Pitt type leader character and the Elle McPherson type german daughter of a Nazi cammander he fell in love with when the main character got himself stuck with German peasants fleeing from the Germans. It was an incredible love story. I would compare it to my favorite movie--Dr. Zivago.
