This is a student-oriented text introducing the elements of basic business statistics. Topics range from descriptive statistics to multiple regression and one-way analysis of variance. Chapters include a number of instructive EXCEL exercises. Reviewers have described the book as engaging and the writing as wonderfully direct. The writing style, reports one reviewer, is thoroughly discursive, even chatty, and I think students will find it terrific. Very accessible. The writing definitely is this book's glory. It is certainly more interesting and more engaging than Anderson, Sweeney and Williams. And the anecdotes hit just the right dry, witty tone.
