Exceptionally useful for photographers

As a professional photographer, I frequently need to make ordinary women look extraordinary. Even agency models need help. :) We mostly work with a hair and makeup artist team, but it truly helps to understand several things that this book accomplishes very well. 1. You will understand various facial shapes and parts of faces and the specific challenges associated with each of them. 2. You will have a very clear method about how to convert any facial shape into the ideal shape. 3. This is not a book that recommends you to buy a specific list of products. It tells you why each type of a product works, how to test it, and how to apply it properly. If you are a beauty photographer, which for the purposes of this review I would define as closeup images you'll commonly see in makeup stores, you will additionally benefit from seeing extremely good images. They are sharp and big enough that you can read the studio light setup in the models' eyes. Every technique and detail is painstakingly photographed and shown properly. Overall, it's a great book. I can find no real flaws in it, but it may need to be read more than once as the author discusses facial shapes and skin tones in detail only much later in the book even through he refers to them from the very beginning. That may seem a little confusing initially.
