A Method of Programming Man

This is the first book I read that proved the connection of the UFO phenomenon with the wider spectrum of the paranormal, demonology, new age cults, creeds and eastern religious teachings. The authors draw from the literature of various sources, including those on the occult side. Respectable UFOlogists such as John Keel and Jacques Vallee are also quoted heavily, and though their views are hardly what a christian would believe, their analysis of the situation is identical to the thesis of the authors'. It's not that the authors take every encounter as fact or even at face value. It is the life changing aspect of the experiences that is important here. Contactees, abductees and those who have the classic encounters with spirit guides and walk-ins have been imparted with strikingly similar messages from these "aliens." The experiencers, in every case, are told by the entities that we are on the verge of a transformation and that we have to spiritually evolve in order to transcend onto the next level and become a God. Sound familiar? Here's a few quotes: -------------------------- "The number of contactees has risen dramatically in the last few years along with the increase in New Age and occult practices. We are seeing a parallel rise in both New Age and UFO phenomena. A New Ager who practices trance channeling says, Very often UFO contactees are, by their own admission, individuals who have become disillusioned with the existing religious institutions. (In the western world probably Judaism or Christianity.)" (p. 110) -------------------------- "The New Age, Eastern mystics, and UFO advocates preach an impersonal life force. Man is his own god. There is no need for a redeemer, for there is no sin. One may use meditative techniques to descend into the lower depths of consciousness and there discover the divine within." (p. 62) -------------------------- "A New Age devotee just hasn't 'arrived' unless he has had contact with a 'spirit guide,' an 'ascended master,' a 'channeled entity,' or a 'space brother-ETI.' Contact is sought through meditation techniques, invocation, luciferic initiation, or by the laying-on-of-hands by a guru, channeler, or other New Age expert." (p. 153) -------------------------- "The average citizen does not realize that a techno-occultic bill of goods is being sold to the public by some scientists, politicians, and entertainment personalities. The man on the street is gazing at the stars because he is being told by so many 'authorities' that not only is man evolving, but that there are other evolving civilizations more advanced than ours, and that some day we will be friends and partners with these aliens in a grand adventure in an upward process of evolution leading to godhood!" (p. 116) -------------------------- "It is interesting that they twist or deny many important biblical truths. Why would supposedly evolved intelligences from other world's be so concerned about a local, unique religious manifestati
