Great book--extremely enjoyable

This book is probably my favorite one out of the Regan Reilly mystery series. It's fun to read, has great characters, and good suspense at the end. I recommend this book (and all her others)!

Full of humor.

This is not a serious whodunnit; it's a quick read that's full of laughs as the author pokes fun of some of the latest fads in our society. With a character called Peace Man and another into fen shui, you can't expect Shakespeare. Perfect to read at the beach.

Clark a fun author

Most of you people didn't even get it! Carol is not trying to be like her mother and shouldn't and doesn't deserve to be compared to her mother. They write totally different. Carol is an entertaining author with a good grasp on mixing humor and mystery. Not all mystery has to be deep, dark and foreboding and Carol is not trying to be. She writes well and Twanged is a great new edition to her Regan Reilly series. I caught myself snickering a lot. It is a thoroughly enjoyable good read and a welcome change from more serious fare and those who think it was bad or juvenile just don't know how to enjoy a funny book. Go back to reading something dark and gory and let the rest of us have fun.

Absolutely charming - funny, mysterious, perfect.

Carol Higgins Clark has done it again! "Twanged" is a fast-paced, often hilarious whodunit. It is comparable to the work of her famous mother, but much more humorous! It should occupy the best seller list for weeks!!! I have one thing to say, "You GO! Girl!

Very Enjoyable

Wealthy Chappy Tinka wants to own the special fiddle of Ireland's renowned fiddler and storyteller Malarchy Sheerin. When Chappy demands something, he always gets it. Chappy learns that the fiddle is currently in the possession of Irish-American, Brigid O'Neil, an up and coming western singer. To steal the fiddle, Chappy arranges for Brigid to appear at the Melting Pot Music Festival and stay at one of his Long Island homes. When Brigid receives a threatening letter, her family hires private investigator Regan Reilly to act as her bodyguard. Soon a stalker begins to make threats towards Brigid if she fails to destroy the fiddle. Regan knows that she has her work cut out for her if she's to sucessfully protect her client from a stalker, especially when she performs live in front of a large audience. SHe also, unbeknownst to herm, must deal with Chappy' inept theft attempts of the insruments well. TWANGED is a lighthearted entertaining novel that is reminiscent of Joan Hess' Claire Malley series. The characters are interesting though motivations are not fully developed. Carol Higgins Clark demonstrates that she has inherited the writer's gene from her mother (Mary Higgins Clark) with this fluffy tale. Harriet Klausner
