The first edition of this book was marketed as horror, but now the reprint emphasizes the mystery angle. No matter - it was still a great read. The author skillfully blends a mystery plot with supernatural Celtic horror. The timeline follows the events that occur on Samain (AKA Samhain) in a forest just outside of Cambridge. The author's characters are interesting and his sense of place added a great atmosphere to the story. Overall it was a very enjoyable read.
