great read

If your a sucker for romance books and a fan of Nascar then ya gotta read this book.

Championship writing . . .

Pamela Britton started this whole thing -- romance novels set in and around NASCAR racing -- and you have but read one or two chapters of any her books in the series to see how and why this happened. Ms. Britton knows whereof she speaks. The plot (both NASCAR and romance) is seamlessly interwoven between these two major elements in such a way that it would be impossible to separate them. But why would you want to? This is a truly delicious read. Kristen McKenna followed her dearly-loved Dad to the racetracks, quickly becoming a rising young star in open-wheeled racing, until an accident off-track takes the life of her younger sister, and leaves Kristen lame. She can drive competently on the street, but the track is no longer a place for her to compete. So, she turns her formidable intelligence and creativity into becoming an engineer, specializing in making things go fast. Faster, actually. Planes, cars, whatever. Workaholic Matthew Knight is a self-made multi-billionaire who uses his budget airline Fly For Less to leverage himself into the NASCAR world, even though he knows little about cars, other than they go fast and NASCAR is very popular. He looks at the team he's just purchased as an investment, expecting that someday not to far away, franchising will be the future of racing. Todd Peters is the bad-boy number one driver for Knight's new venture, and needs a boost to get into the Chase, where the prestige and the incomes multiply exponentially. He'll do what he's supposed to do, presuming, of course, that it's something he really wants to do. He's usually to be found with a tall, gorgeous blonde hanging on his arm. These three wonderful characters collide in Knight's garage, and the ramifications follow them through the long season. Todd's car doesn't seem to be as fast as it might, so Knight subverts his ace flight engineer into seeking a way to change the situation. Sparks fly in every direction! To the Limit is a full-bodied, exciting, keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat-turning-pages-as-fast-as-you-can book. It's full of humor of the laugh-out-loud variety. You'll find it difficult, if not impossible, to put it down, wondering as you go, which guy is going to win out in the biggest chase of all--capturing Kristen's heart. This is one fabulous story that'll keep you guessing until about ten pages from the end. And eight of those last are epilogue! (I could have done without that, but I didn't write the book. I only wish I did.)

To the Limit- A Joyfully Recommended Title

Kristen McKenna has worked for Mathew Knight in a behind the scenes capacity until now. Mathew just bought himself a NASCAR race team and he wants Kristen to be the engineering consultant for Knight Enterprises Motorsports. Kristen is wary but she can't pass up the opportunity to design racecars, even though working in a male dominated industry she'll have to work twice as hard for the respect that should come easily. Kristen is shocked when she discovers that Matt and the driver, Todd Peters, are interested in her. She only has eyes for one of them though. When push comes to shove can he put her before his work? I really enjoyed the first two of Pamela Briton's NASCAR books, but To The Limit is my favorite. I love Kristin. She is fearless and smart, and she possesses humor that could rival a comedian. I also love what she does for Matt. She is so good for him. Matt is wonderful. He's handsome and intelligent. I loved that the powerful and invincible Mathew Knight fell hard for Kristen just the way she is. To The Limit is a smooth read both on and off the track. It's a well-written racing story with romance, fun and excitement! Nannette reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

Best yet!

TO THE LIMIT is my favorite of Pamela Britton's NASCAR books so far--and that's saying a lot! The racing action is so real that you'll actually feel like you're right there, at the track, and the developing romance felt fresh and exciting. The love-triangle aspect was a fun surprise with some twists and turns, and has totally whetted my appetite for the next book in the series--I can barely wait for TOTAL CONTROL! Bottom line--a fun and sexy read!

TO THE LIMIT--another winner!!!

I love Pamela Britton's NASCAR romances!!!! The stories are not only witty, but laced with a plethora of emotions that never ceases to amaze me and TO THE LIMIT is no exception. Ms. Britton ability to pen an authentic NASCAR tale meshed with a charming romance can't be equaled. Don't miss TO THE LIMIT!!!
