we 'lucked onto' this book just before Christmas- and it's been a wonderful addition to our family's celebration of the holiday. We're the grandparents of 4 kids- aged 7, 4, 18 mos and 8 mos- and while 2 are being raised in Christian homes, the other 2 are not. We've read, and re-read this book to all of them ( even the baby) and they all seem to love it. In fact, it's now January, and we're ordering 2 additional copies, because the 4 year old, the son of a non- religious mom, wants to take our copy home with him to put under his pillow each night. He LOVES little starlet.BUY THE BOOK!!!

I must say that I was more impressed by this book than I had initially expected... first off, the illustrations are very bright and captivating... and to me, the pictures are one of the most important thing in gaining a child's interest in a book... in addition to that though, the story is just terrific... this book teaches a big lesson in patience... one day everyone will get his/her chance to shine!!! This puts such a cute spin on the story of the Star of Bethlehem... I was very impressed with this book...
Faith, perserverence, and fairness made simple.

The Tiny Star, one of my 5 year old's favorites, emphasizes the importance of positive thinking within the context of one of the most cherished stories of all time: the birth of the baby Jesus. The religious references are not overwhelming but, rather, allow a familiar story to give substance to a common life occurance. The Tiny Star tells us that if we have faith in ourselves, regardless of our miscomings, our dreams can and will come true. Overall, The Tiny Star is very inspiring to both the young and old.
