A Gripping Read

Mass carnage delivered by human bombs soon has Mack Bolan on the trail of a man known only as The Ghoul. Trouble is this man is a genius with explosives and soon hundreds are dead or wounded as a frustrated Bolan sees the Ghoul slip from his grasp time and again. But Bolan will not be beaten, he has to stop this madman's killing spree before thousands more die... This is an incredibly fast moving book that seems to be one violent confrontation after another. A book with a massive death toll that sees Bolan using all of Stony Man's resources to hunt The Ghoul down. Highlights for me was seeing how The Ghoul seemed to be one step ahead of Bolan everytime, the shopping centre chase, the tension filled approach to a farm... And I was amazed at the facts and figures revealed on page 104 of how many people go missing each year - I take it these are true? After the continuous action of the rest of the book the final scenes seemed understated in comparison, which for me made the finale all the more powerful, very spectacular in being un-spectacular compared to the action in the rest of the book. Another great read Mr. Robbins!

Time is running out, the Ghoul has now captured a farm family in Missouri and is telling Bolan he wants a mano-a-mano with bombs versus Bolan's weapons. Bolan has little alternative but to accept and engage this mass murderer. This is one of the more unique, as in unusual, books I've read in The Executioner series. One that keeps you hanging in right up to an unsuspected ending, but an ending that makes the reader say "yes!". Live large and stay safe from evil. Semper Fi.
