Another view of infertility....

This was an amazing read. As someone who battled infertility, this book brought the human touch from the doctor's perspective. Many times as the infertility patient you feel like a pin cushion as your doctors stand back and seem to try this and that test never feeling like there is a human touch. Dr. Schapiro's novel brings a great deal of warmth to the process and gives hope to women battling infertility as she shows both sides of the process. Even if you have not been through the process of infertility testing and treatment you will laugh and cry and you follow our heroine through her struggles and triumphs as a facinating woman trying to have it all.

A celebration of TIME: with tears,laughter and empathy

This novel is jam packed with eye opening information about the journey of an ob-gyn resident to attending through infertility/fertility with insights not available in any textbook. The book is written in a most engaging style inviting the adult reader of any age and gender to overcome guilt, shame and stigma while laughing, crying ,learning and and experiencing empathy. As Good a Writer as She Is a Doctor

Dr. Schapiro was my ObGyn when we lived in Atlanta and we wouldn't have our wonderful daughter were it not for her careful care and compassion. That and her dry wit both come through in her novel. We are trying to conceive again, and I have recommended this to all of my TTC friends! Thank you, Dr. Schapiro!

riveting lifechanging doctor is patient patient is doctor

I loved this book which revealed the trials women go through and the love they have for their children and the devotion of a husband who went through the whole thing with his wife. It was a real story, autobiographical more than medical, although I learned a lot about the body I did not know before. It is a quick read and has a happy ending thank heaven. Every woman of any age must read this.

I wrote this book for my patients. So many women go through the fertility process feeling alone and inadequate. I hope this novel will give women hope and a good laugh.
