Great Read

This was a good read. I actually purchased this book as it was part 2 of 3 or 3 of 3. I read the first book by another author and it was also good. Carmen Green is one of my favorite authors. Keep the romance coming!!!!

I WAS HOOKED IMMEDIATELY

I AM SO GLAD I DON'T LET OTHER'S OPINION SWAY ME WHEN IT COMES TO READING A BOOK, IF I HAD I WOULD HAVE MISSED OUT ON A TREAT. I LOVED THE WAY ALEXANDRIA CAME OFF A LITTLE INNOCENT AND DITZY BECAUSE IT MADE ME WANNA "NOW TAKE THAT", WHEN SHE WOULD SURPRISE EVERYBODY WITH HER SPUNK AND GRASP FOR HANDLING CRAZY SITUATIONS. JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU SHOULD NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER OR A PRETTY FACE BY ITS OUTWARD APPEARANCE. SOME OF THE OTHER REVIEWERS SAID ALEX'S DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY WAS UNBELIEVEABLE, BUT I GUESS THEY ARE LUCKY NOT TO HAVE TRUE CRAZY MONEY GRUBBING PEOPLE IN THEIR FAMILY, BECAUSE I COULD DEFINITELY RELATE. YOU JUST NEVER KNOW HOW CRAZY FAMILY IS UNTIL THERE IS A LOT OF MONEY TO BE DIVIDED OR INHERITED. I LOVED THE WAY ALEX KEPT HER COOL, NEVER YELLED, BUT HANDLED BUSINESS. AND IN MY OPINION THERE WAS NEVER A QUESTION AS TO WHETHER HUNTER WAS INTERESTED IN ALEX OR THAT THEY HAD CHEMISTRY, HE HAD TO WRESTLE WITH HIS CARNAL SIDE FROM THE MOMENT HE SAW ALEX FOR THE FIRST TIME. I FEEL THEY COMPLIMENTED EACH OTHER, HE HAD A HARD TIME RECOGNIZING HE NEEDED AND WANTED HER IN HIS LIFE AND SHE WAS A FREE SPIRIT. I CAN'T WAIT TO READ THE OTHER BOOKS AND THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT "THIS TIME IS FOR GOOD" WAS AN EXCELLENT START TO THE FOSTER WIVES SERIES AND I HOPE POTENTIAL READERS WILL NOT ALLOW THE NEGATIVE VIEWS OF PEOPLE WHO PROBABLY SPEED READ THE BOOK SWAY THEM FROM EXPERIENCING THIS BOOK FOR THEMSELVES. GREAT JOB CARMEN GREEN!!!!!

luv2read

I really enjoyed reading about Alex. She was so hilarious. I couldn't put the book down until I had finished it. I really like Carmen Greens books that I have read. This book I had to read twice because I enjoyed it so much. It had me ready to read the other women's stories and see what they had in store.

Okay, where do I start

First of all I would really like to give this book about a 3 1/2, but I can't so I went with a 4. But I have to say, it started it out on a really bad note. I read the previous reviews and had serious doubts about even getting this book and starting this series. But love Brenda Jackson and I read everything she writes. But I felt it only fair that I start out at the beginning with Carmen Green. I have read a lot of her books and I liked them all. Never had an issue with any of her books. but this book did start out just wrong. I was confused, and I had to ask myself is Alexandria a ditzy broad or what LOL! It just didn't seem to flow in the beginning, but once she went to the funeral... it started to come together, And in the end, I liked the story. It just didn't start out well. Mrs. Green did write a good story. So for the middle to the end of the novel, I will give the rating of 4.

A Good Start - 4.5

This is my first book by Ms. Green and I though it was a good start to the series. Alex has been given the big responsibility to run her family's company which her dad and brother aren't too happy about. Then she finds out that her husband has dies and he had two other wives. Her brother-in-law whom she's never met sends his friend Hunter to get her and this were the ride begins. Alex never loved her husband but she needed validation for her family and he was it. Hunter showed her she didn't know validation and he showed her how it is to be loved. I enjoyed the book and cracked up and some of Alex antics and her dog Little Sweetie was funny too.
