Really touching and really funny.

There are so many great stories in this book - some of them had me rolling they were so funny! There were also many touching stories. A quick read. Definitely worth it.

Excellent Read

An excellent read. Not the usual sentimental greeting card type of stories. real people, real fathers. A must read.

Good read

I bought this book because I love Heather Armstrong's blog, not because I was feeling sentimental about fathers... However, it is a great read that made me laugh and reflect on my own relationships with the fathers in my life. It has also made me want to write my own chapter and send a copy to my dad.

Totally enjoyable - great father's day gift

I love this book. This is a collection of 10+ short stories all around fathers or fatherhood, written by both men and women. Most have a humorous bend to them. I did not find it to be uneven at all. I laughed (and sometimes cried) and thoroughly enjoyed each story. I don't think you have to like blogs at all to enjoy this book, most of the writers have blogs I don't read (yet) but I still loved them. A great father's day gift idea, too! The one thing I did not like was the type setting -- there are grey shaded boxes interspersed with a sentence or phrase from the story highlighted. It looks to me like an obvious space filler. I think the book would have been better without it.

Heartfelt and real

I've been a reader of Heather's for years and have enjoyed her work immensely. I have appreciated her heartfelt and honest approach to parenting, life, and cabbage. I also enjoyed this book and the essays contained within. It's thoughtful, honest, and funny. What a great father's day gift for her dad, and mine.
