Thecla

By Ceociea Naomi

What if the life everyone chose for you was never the life God intended?

Thecla Moore has everything she is supposed to want: a promising career, an influential fianc , a lavish wedding on the horizon, and a family determined to protect its reputation. But beneath the polished photographs and public expectations, Thecla can feel herself disappearing.

Then she hears Paul Rivers, a controversial minister and community activist preaching about faith, freedom, and the courage to reject identities imposed by others. His message awakens something within her. When Thecla removes her engagement ring and chooses her own path, she becomes the target of romantic retaliation, family rejection, professional sabotage, spiritual judgment, and a powerful man who believes influence gives him the right to possess her.

Soon, Thecla is fighting not only for her future, but for her voice, her faith, and her life.

Inspired by the ancient story of Thecla, this contemporary spiritual drama reimagines her trials for the modern world. Fire becomes attempted destruction. Lions become public humiliation. Baptism becomes a declaration of purpose. Through every trial, Thecla must discover whether she has the strength to remain true to herself when nearly everyone insists she is wrong.

Bold, emotional, and spiritually charged, Thecla is a story for anyone who has ever been called rebellious for refusing to surrender. It reminds us that being outnumbered does not always mean we are on the wrong path, and sometimes losing the life others chose for us is how we finally discover the life God placed within us.

THECLA is an After The Tears project, created under the belief that Laughter After Tears Is Therapeutic.
