Through the Eyes of a Killer.

The World's Most Infamous Murders is a factual book about ... well, the world's most infamous murders. This book contains the actual true stories of the most brutal killings from the most cruel, sick and (you could say) evil people of past times. Horrific stories include the casual shootings of Bonnie and Clyde, the inexplicable sadism of 'The Moors Murders' caused by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley, the compulsions of 'The Boston Strangler' Albert Desalvo, Theodore Bundy, 'The Killer Clown' John Wayne Gacy, 'The Yorkshire Ripper' Peter Sutcliffe, Jack the Ripper and even the 'Murderous "Family"' led by Charles Manson. A lot of these true stories are quite disturbing, but not too awful to read as the book does not go into too much detail on the horrible killings. If the book did go into such detail, I probably wouldn't have wrote this review or even read this book. These stories are of the murders that were more sinister, less intelligible, less easy to forgive, more motivated by profit, by greed, envy or to gratify perverted desires than any other murders in history. This book takes a penetrating and sometimes disturbing look behind the newspaper headlines of the most notorious of those crimes. Surprising to me was the absense of Jeffry 'The Cannibal' Dahmer in this book, as his killings have also resulted in shockwaves around the world. However, this is not a bad thing as there are so many brutal killings and killers in the world that this book just can't contain all of them. Keeping the stories short and with as little detail as some people can physically stomach, TWMIM is a very interesting read into these horrific stories. A book not to be praised or admired, but just read. This book I recommend, but ONLY if you are a reader interested in this sort of thing.
