Witch's Handbook..yes it is!

I have read this book several times. I have been a witch for over 36 years, and have seen and heard about everything that can be imagained. This is a great resource for new witches and those who need direction. The Frosts are great Elders in the pagan community. Those who disagree with what they write (and they know I do at times!) should be willing to discuss their points with the Frosts, for they try their best to be available to folks who are willing to listen. It is not easy being an Elder of anything, let alone Pagan Elders. The people they discuss in their books they do know and have been friends with, and they are truthful about what they write. I know many of whom they write of, and know this for a fact. It's easy for people to try and tear others down because they think they know it all, but no one knows everything! No one! The Frosts encourage people to use thier own minds, evaluate things for themselves, challange what you think you know and see if its truth. I encourage folks to think long and hard before saying their books are not what they should be, and ask themselves several questions: 1. Have you read the book in question yourself? 2. Did you learn even one thing from the book? 3. If you disagree with anything in the book, did you attempt to contact the Frosts and ask their reason(s) for what they said, or even if that is how they feel now (for we all change our minds over time)? 4. Did you open the book to read it with an open mind, or did you have it in your mind that it was wrong beforehand? Once answering those questions, and before making any remarks, and ask yourself could you do any better, and if so, why have'nt you?

Witchcraft in the "Real" World

This is the ultimate how-to book written by people who have been living the Craft for a total of more than 50 years. The Craft is both a magical and a spiritual path. This book is one of the few that considers both aspects. Working with thousands upon thousands of students, Gavin and Yvonne have been able to write clear and concise instructions and guidance. A must-have book for all who wish to follow the alternative spiritual path of Wicca. Gavin and Yvonne--being the founders of Wicca--can be trusted by investigators to tell the truth as they live it.

I enjoy..

I need to revisE.I did'nt know about visualising ca rcrqshes. enjoY thiS work.It heheped me through some difficult times. It shined on me with stories about the Frost's lives and how they encourage us and our educaTion anD leArNing. It helps us develop our psychic abilities and shows us a wAy that is free from harshness and brutality..of a sad nature those things are. . There is information on the Websites and healing andGavin and Yvonne are two of the pioneering teachers of Wicca... Like the Farrars,leaders..But they do not denigrade Satanism to my knowledge...Not falsey, false like the Farrars can be at times..In their anti Satanic stance..

Good book, even if it doesn't represent "traditional" Wicca.

I agree wholeheartedly with the argument that this is a poor book on Wicca as a religion. Scott Cunningham's "Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" and Starhawk's "The Spiral Dance" are much better books to read if you need an overview of "traditional" Wicca as a religion. On the other hand, if you are actually trying to practice magick as a practical "science" and you want to know WHY you do things and HOW they work, this is an excellent book. This is the ultimate hands on approach. They summarize a technique, tell you how others have applied it in actual case histories (which they claim are avaliable to researchers)and then go into detail on a proceedure for you to try it yourself. Far from being an advertisement to go out and spend money on more of their books or to join their church, it seems to me that this book says, "Go out and do this, prove it to yourself, and you won't need us or anyone else - you will be self sufficient."I found their attitude to be entirely positive. They warn carefully about the dangers involved and how to protect yourself, spiritually, mentally, physically, and legally! The book seems to follow the Wiccan Rede, and the Law of Karma is pointed up, however they keep the ideas of Deities (the most diverse subject in Wicca) out of it for the most part, allowing you to believe whatever you want and still use their book. It is open enough that even Atheists and members of other religions could make use of it without significant alteration. In short I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the nuts and bolts of magick. Blessed Be!

Between Jack Frost, Robert Frost, Mark Frost, and a blizzard of other Frosts, the literary world is as Frosty as a snowman. Below are a few Frosts that you can enjoy during the depths of winter without having to put mittens on. In fact, it kinda works better if you don't so you can turn the pages.
