The most shocking ending

Obviously, I won't say how the ending is shocking. It was definitely not what I expected. The whole book was interesting and I am bummed that I seem to have lost my copy. The Winter Bride is one of the best gothic romances ever written and Carola Salisbury aka Michael Butterworth, was one of the best gothic authors.

Entertaining gothic romance

The Winter Bride is romance novel that features a revised ending of Tolstoy's 'Anna Karenina'. For a competently written and well researched gothic romance, Carola Salisbury is quite good.
