The Waiting Room

She returns every December.

Same drive.
Same building.
Same waiting room.

Her mother no longer lives in time the way Nora does.
Days blur. Words slip. Memory narrows.

But Nora keeps coming.

Because some things don't end-
they just change shape.

In the quiet space between visits, something unexpected begins.

A conversation.
A shared routine.
A man who understands the language of waiting without needing it explained.

They meet once a year.
Then a little more.

Never all at once.
Never too much.

Just enough to matter.

Set over six Decembers, The Waiting Room is a deeply human story about:

- What stays when everything else fades
- The weight of family-and the silence between it
- The kind of connection that grows slowly, honestly, and without permission
- And the quiet truth that some lives are built in the in-between

Not everything important happens in the moment.

Some things are built over time.
In small rooms.
In quiet conversations.

In the waiting.
