The Vanishing Season

This book is so good and a bit sad. I cried at the end actually, but it wasn't a bad ending. I was a bit disappointed by the crime/mystery bit though, because it was a smaller part of the story than I had expected. I understand why the crime was never solved though, because in real life the murderer is not always found. Also, I was a bit annoyed by the love triangle, because I was led to believe that no such thing existed in this book. I liked Maggie and Liam together, more that Liam and Pauline. I feel like Pauline doesn't really understand that she gets whatever she wants, for the most part, regardless of how it affects others, and I disliked how she wanted Liam as soon as she saw him and Maggie together, even though she made it very clear before that she didn't like him like that. Even though there were a few things I disliked, it was a really good book that touched my heart. And as a plus, it was very well written and didn't have any plotholes that I noticed.
