If you want to reward yourself this Cookbook is it!

I have made the Mushroom-Leek Soup and really enjoyed the flavors of this soup it has become one of my favorites now. I also made the Enchiladas with Barbecued Beans and it was very good. I altered it a little bit to include more vegetables that I like and still enjoyed it. As for the deserts I really did like the Banana Cream Pie and the Grasshopper Pie (I now know that tofu is located in the produce department.) I did try the Mocha Fudge Pudding and didn't like it that much but I think it might have been that I can't find or don't know what coffee powder is, it's not coffee grounds that is for sure. I have enjoyed making meals with this cookbook for my family and my lunches for work. I always have something healthy in my refigerator that I like to eat, and if I want to make something I use my Dr. Phil Cookbook for suggestions. I really like the seasonings and spices that the cookbook recommends because it is like eating at a special restaurant in my home. I really like Tarragon spice! The recipes are easy to understand and easy to find for the most part. I live in a tiny small town with only a few grocery stores and if I can find the ingredients in one town I believe anyone can. It takes a little bit of energy to figure out what you want to make but in the long run it is fun, and the rewards of what you make is so rewarding and exciting! I really like Leeks and love the texture in my soup! I am looking forward to making more recipes in the cookbook and I know that they are healthy and good. You have to make the recipes to know they are good or bad. For the most part I would give this cookbook an excellent review I enjoy having the tools needed to make great decisions for my new life style!

Delicious and Easy

I've got to admit, I've been a Dr. Phil fan for quite awhile now. He has given me some great tips in many areas of my life, so when I heard him mention this book on his show I ordered it immediately. I'm delighted with what I got. The recipes are easy and use normal ingredients - not lots of expensive stuff from gourmet shops that you will never use again. Since both my husband and I work full time we don't have a lot of time to cook so I need something that doesn't take hours to prepare. We tried the Dijon-Roasted Salmon today and it was delicious. I've already purchased the ingredients for several other meals and am looking forward to all of them. Another kudo for Dr. Phil!

A Helpful Follow Up

This book is a very nice companion to his Ultimate Weight Loss Solution as I was stuck when it came to preparing meals. The recipes were easy to follow and tasty. I'd also like to add Dr. Phil by no means trys to sell himself as a wonder product and his philosophy is very simple which includes cutting down processed foods, exercising, and any one who has read his Ultimate Weight Loss Solution (which by some reviews is obvious they haven't) knows he makes it clear there is a psychological side to weight loss and not some magic cure. The cookbook is not a weight plan, it is a part of his plan. And if you buy the cookbook, you really should look into his Solution and Food Guide. And in my own opinion, don't judge a book by it's cover. Yes, he is a big man at 6'1" but by no means is he overweight.

I BELIEVE in Dr Phil~~~~

Thats why I bought his new cookbook. The recipes are GREAT--my family LOVED the banana creme pie!!! His advice makes sense, he has helped many many people lose the weight they have carried for many years. His plan is easy to follow, its healthy and should be followed the rest of your life. I do NOT believe in the Atkins plan, WW is too bothersome to have to weigh everything and write it all down, the low carb thing is just a fad, Dr Phil is just plain common sense. I highly recommend anything that he puts out!!

Phil, Larry and Clint Changed My Life

I was watching Larry King some weeks ago and saw Dr. Phil on there talking about this cook-book of his, and it seemed like what he was saying made a lot of sense, so I gave it a try -- and I'd be darned if it didn't work just as great as he said it would. The foods he had in the book were delicious, and they were satsifying too. It became a whole new way of eating for me -- eating healthy foods that won't make me keep tipping the scale. (...)
