More often the latter proves to be the case. Naturally, as far as successful relationships go, Ruby gives rather bad advice. Read it from start to end in one sitting!

This book delighted me, the characters feel like people I know, or wish I did, and I couldn't wait for the ending! This is her 2nd book, the 1st (The Write Match) hooked me, and this one seals the deal. I will read anything she writes, this author is worth following. Ms. Carrol is a compelling writer.

The True Match by Margaret Carroll

I read "The Write Match" by Margaret Carroll and loved every page of it. Now I have read the sequel, "The True Match". It is the funniest and most adorable story that I have read in a very long time. Ruby is so alive and endearing, and her macho love interest makes your heart skip a beat. The author's fantastic sense of humor had me laughing throughout the entire book. The ending left the reader uplifted, happy and satisified. I hope to read more of Margaret Carroll's delightful stories. Pat Vodopia

The True Match

Another winner for Margaret Carroll! These novels are bright, enchanting and hold your interest from the first page to the last. It isn't often when you finish a book that you want to stand up and cheer, but that is how well crafted the writing is. The characters come alive and you want to be right there with them as they move through the superbly developed plot. A classic, feel-good read... well done.

Nice follow-up

Like most guys I stay well away from "romance novels", at least publicly. However, I enjoyed Ms. Carroll's first effort so much that I couldn't resist checking this out. More a follow-up than a sequel and once again the nicely drawn, interesting characters come alive. Ruby still gives bad relationship advice and unfortunately, believes it herself. Hutch, the cowboy cameraman, thinks of himself as a stud and is trying to get away from past mistakes. In a relatively short novel, less than 200 pages, Carroll wraps it all up nicely with an ending that will leave readers wanting more. I think I'm already looking forward to that, but don't tell anyone I know.
