This study of the technique of weaving is designed to fill the gap between general and highly technical weaving books. It is illustrated with photographs to show step-by-step techniques. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Weaving is sometimes portrayed as a lost skill. It is only lost to those who do not look around them and realize that it has always been around. It is now making a strong comeback around the world as a mainstream skill for both aesthetic and practical purposes.

This is an excellent get-off-the-ground weaving book, and for those already off the ground, you may still find some unique information that was overlooked.
This book deals with looms and the accouterments needed to use them, the theories behind them, and the practical ways to set them up. Most of the information, including the diagrams and pictures, is in black and white because they do not need color for their explanation. However, under section 3, "Theory," with calculations and the different charts. It would have been nice to use color as one of the ways to transmit information.
I have a weaving library, and all this information can be found in different books. Still, sometimes it helps to have the same thing told to you differently, and this book is unique enough to be able to do that; so, I would recommend this book as your first book or an addition to your library. You will not be disappointed.
