It starts with three words: "I love you."
And the spectacularly unromantic reply: "Sorry. Not interested."
PP expects rejection to be the end of the story. Instead, it becomes the beginning of something neither of them knows how to name. Friendship turns into an undefined romance, and an innocent road trip escalates into mountain adventures, questionable encounters with police, ridiculous games, jealousy, fake diplomatic immunity, and eventually the slightly insane decision to build a cabin together.
Before long, their strange relationship has accumulated a titanium wedding ring, a pregnancy nicknamed "the tiny dictator," bizarre financial revelations, domestic prank warfare, renovations, private jokes, and enough chaos to make a normal relationship look suspiciously boring.
But beneath the absurdity is a story about two unconventional people discovering that love does not have to follow the standard script. Sometimes it is romance. Sometimes it is construction, arguments, boundaries, terrible jokes, repairing mistakes, and choosing the same person again afterward.
A chaotic romantic comedy about rejection, adventure, marriage, and accidentally building a home together.
