Practical Nuggets of Wisdom

This book is full of practical advice for women who desire to be under the control of the Holy Spirit. It uses the concept of 4 personality types: melancholy, phlegmatic, choleric, and sanguine. Beverly LaHaye exposes the strengths and weaknesses of each personality type, and addresses them with scriptural truths. She covers many areas of vital importance to the Christian woman: single life, marriage, homemaking, parenting, menopause, pain, love life, and Christian service. While I do not agree with the psychology based backdrop of the book, it is filled with helpful, scripturally based nuggets of wisdom; and practical help for temperamental weaknesses.

This allows us to see our strengths and our weaknesses so that we can work with the Holy Spirit to become Christlike. The book covers many areas of how a wife needs to interact with her husband and her attitude toward him. There is also insight and some instruction for growing spiritually. This book is helpful to the Christian wife.
