The Siren is a phenomenal book!

This book was fantastic! I fell in love with the characters and enjoyed that the book provided spells of romance, friendship and action. I was really surprised that I enjoyed it so much because normally I don't enjoy stand alones but this was amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to smile and just wants a lovely story.

Decent.

This somehow is both unique and predictable at the same time. I picked this up because I’m a huge fan of the selection series but, was a little let down by the lack luster romance and the strange and confusing plot of this.

Predictable

It is a normal siren/mermaid book about singing people to their deaths. I knew what the ending was going to be way before I finished the book. I was really disappointed because I love Kiera Cass and the selection series it was great and I thought this was going to be another book that just blew me away instead it really just put me to sleep.

heart breaking and heart warming

This is an amazing take on the ancient myth of sirens. Beautiful silent girls who live lives where they could have anything they wanted, except love from humans. As the Sirens live to serve the ocean, they lure humans to their deaths with their beautiful voices. Kahlen is a Siren who wishes for nothing more than love, a wedding, and a husband. When she meets a boy, she risks it all by falling for him. This story was an awesome interpretation of the Siren myth and how it can be transferred into modern terms.
