If only it were current,

As a scotch whisky lover and trained historian, I found this book very informative to both my interests. It certainly explains why there are so many brands/blends of scotch, how they came to be and who the important people were in the development of the whisky industry in Scotland. Unfortunately the book is in need of updating, as much has changed in 20 years.

Scotch Whisky Industry

The only book I have found with really good information on the inside workings of a secretive industry including what goes into many of the popular blended Scotches. Unfortunately no current edition exists to my knowledge. Ronald K. McGregor M.D.
