Who says love has to be serious? Even though the protagonist claims she has no sense of humor, true love is supposed to make us laugh until we cry-and lift us on wings of lightness.

Alice is wearing her red coat the first time she sees him, in the parking lot of a supermarket. But he-red coat or not-doesn't even spare her a glance.
She doesn't give up, though. After being left with a broken heart, Alice is determined to take her life back into her own hands, and the indifferent look of a stranger is not going to shake her confidence.
Together with Luce, a neighbor she meets in rather heated circumstances, and her lifelong friends Bianca and Irene, Alice sets out on a journey of self-discovery-and love.
Which, alas, no matter how hard she tries, she simply can't live without.

About the author...

Someone says that at one point she developed a longing for a red coat and wouldn't rest until she found one that truly convinced her. Now that coat proudly hangs in her wardrobe, brightening winter walks. Apparently, this purchase has little to do with the creation of the novel-except for the shared love of red coats with Alice. Or at least, that's what she believes...
