A huge luxury liner is discovered drifting off the coast of Peru, her passengers and crew mysteriously missing. This description may be from another edition of this product.
At the time was written in 1980 the QEII (Queen Elizabeth the Second) was the largest liner afloat and one of the most famous ships in the world. The novel opens during a massive search for the QEII which has suddenly disappeared. Then she is found by a US navy plane - adrift and apparently with nobody aboard. A Peruvian Coast Guard ship boards her, and finds her like a massive Marie Celeste - 1,815 passengers and crew have all disappeared. What had happened to the QEII ? I can't say much more about it without giving away the plot, but this is an exciting and well written story.
