A woman sits at a desk and considers what her life would be like if she weren't confined by the walls of her city. She wonders if the world outside is actually a devastated wasteland. She leaves her desk for the day, and takes on a new identity. She will be Ember, the one to ignite the flames of change. Ember finds a new person to help her in her quest. They meet in secret. She dedicates her time to joining them and finding a way to discover the truth about this place. Everything works well, when the people do as they say. But what happens when the citizens know they are being lied to? Will they finally have the courage to discover the truth and venture outside?
