Amazing

I have been told by 2 pyschics of my involvement with a Scottish captain in Prince Charlies army. I was captured at Culloden, taken to London and beheaded. I was telling my friend this, and she said" You'd love this book..." As I read this book, I felt old stirrings-- I have been here before. I am not saying I am Claire-- not by any means means, but as the story unfolded, I could feel a kinship with her. I felt a chill as I read certain parts I can't wait to read the next book.

Clever, Thought-Provoking Sci-Fi !

I stumbled onto this Great piece of SF/sociology several years ago and loved it from the first. Not only is it intruiging in its SF setting and conceptualization of a gendered society, but there are dozens of "little" linguistic wonders sprinkled throughout the book: "consortagamy" (who could have thought that up??), "a Dopted" (which only took me til the fourth reference to "get it"...) , and the reader's game of back-tracing the names. Clever, clever. As if the Concept isn't entertaining enough, there are also a dozen or so "insights" into human behavior that'll blow you away ---And make you think. (How do you feel about rape? Is all lovemaking "soft" and cuddly? Should it be? Are you SURE?) Don't let a few minor "editing errors" throw you. This is a Highly Original, Thought-Provoking Book! Unfortunately, the original publisher was a DUD! Poor editing, the ugliest cover you EVER saw, and worse marketing killed what should have been a (successful) Trilogy, and rendered the books that WERE published impossible to find!!!
