A very informal history of Western mining.

Everyone with an interest in mining from the 1800s should read this book it covers all the mining activities in everyday language that is easily understood. Should be a must-read for any mining engineering or geologist student. Definitely a fire star book along with any of the other books mr. Young has wrote.
