This collection of poems explores my journey away from Appalachia and religion, and into my identity as a queer person. It is framed by three question poems that both open the door to my own identity journey as well as inviting the reader into asking themselves these questions. These poems explore themes of the south, what it's like to be a member of and a leader in the church, queer relationships and breakups, questioning my gender, and the hope and horror of mental health struggles.
