Love the author, lazy book

I love demilles books and was excited to read one w John Corey, but this one appears to be written to meet his contract obligations. There is a good idea, and Corey is his usual clever self, but that’s about it. Most of the book is his ruminating on what is going to happen next or what someone else is going think of that. And repetitions of same. I finished the book out of curiosity but there really isn’t even a satisfactory ending. Loose ending are left. Very disappointed.
