The Magic of Faith: Searching for God through delusions and desperation

Understanding faith is not easy. The best way to understand faith is to read the stories of people who are masters of faith. They tell us how they lived their lives trusting God. When we listen to their stories and the path they took to live their everyday life, then we understand what it takes to practice faith. Some of the stories we read in the Bible are not comfortable or easy on our hearts. The stories we read, sometimes, are gruesome and hard to swallow. Some of the stories will make us scratch our head. But those stories may be telling us that faith is not complicated or hard to understand. For me the story of Abraham and Sarah is one of such. Their journey to become the Father of Faith is just incredible. That is not because of the final moment when God sent an angel and a ram to save Isaac, but because the choices Abraham had was tough and painful.
