Great book but dissapointing condition

Recieved the book and am loving it! But when it arrived and I opened the package, I was quite dissapointed to see that half of the letters upon the front torn off. I was not warned about this when I purchased this book :(

a great read for all red dwarf fans =)

if you've seen and enjoyed the british sci-fi/comedy series red dwarf, you're sure to love this book. craig charles includes the same witty sense of humor that makes red dwarf what it is . . . absolutely fabulous!

The Log -By Craig Charles

This book is a fabulous conglomeration of fiction and humour. Its basis is that it is a fictional record of mankind's achievements, written by the last survivor of the human race. Hence 'The Log'. Included are modern definitions of everything from mathematics and genetic engineering, to the law (and evading it). In a break from tradition, the first chapter of the book takes up over 80% of the pages. However this is justified, as the subject is, in fact 'Everything'. If, being a pedant, you wonder what could be in the rest of the book, the answer is obvious: 'Everything else' of course. If you fail to properly grasp this concept, then you have obviously bought the wrong book. Still, Craig Charles is a master writer, and some of the concepts in this book are truly hilarious to read, and even funnier to think about. This is an essential in my own personal collection, and should have pride of place with anyone who thinks that they're funny. Craig Charles really is a master of his art.
