Hate to call it a diet!

I first checked this book out at the library, but soon found it was a keeper - so I bought it! This book really opens your eyes to what is important about food and how it affects your body. I coupled this with an exercise program and have never felt better. I am a 55 year old male and want to age well, and this book is the best I've read; sound advice, easy to follow and implement. I hate to call it a diet - it's a way of better living! Food is medicine - you can decide on healthy food or poison yourself with most foods we put in our bodies based on what the food industry thinks we should eat. No thanks, I want to decide what is best for me and live a healthy life style!!

Great Book!

I recently purchased this book to follow up the Total Body Detox book from the same author. I can honestly say, when you follow this regiment, all your aches and pains disappear. My only complaint is the high cost of eating healthy. We even get our supplements at half price because our PA passes the savings on to us but still it is extremely costly. So my advice is, go conventional when its safe and organic when its not. Thank god for the neighbor with a lemon tree. The benifits just from the lemon water alone are monumental. Also, you can eat larger portions when your food is healthy, whole and gently cooked or raw. Easy to read too. Another thing to note is if you can keep up the regiment for 30 days, you can change your life and continue. Don't give up on it.

a great book

I found this book to be a great inspiration and guide to change my families way of eating. As any naturopath or wholistice nutrisionst will tell you North Americans eat way too much dairy, wheat, meat and processed foods. This book unlike some others still allows meat in the diet plan. If you have no idea about enzymes and the basic biology of nutritional impact on your body as a whole, this book may be out there. However if you have basic knowledge about ph balance, and are somewhat aware of what you are eating this book is a great asset. I definately reccomend this book if you are looking for a great nutritional guide that allows a great range of foods, it also offers a great opportunity for knowledge about the body as a whole and how eating right can change your overall health and well being, as far as preventing and curing disease with diet.....
