She was built to disappear.
Foxy Silver was never supposed to wake up. A glitch, a freak surge of electricity, a server crash at exactly the wrong moment, and the world's most ordinary thief became something the game's creators never designed: alive.
No memories that are truly hers. No master to follow. No idea what she is, or why, or what happens when the clock strikes forty-eight hours and the rest of her world resets around her like nothing ever happened.
What she does have is a stone warehouse full of hungry children who needed somewhere to belong, a gift for finding the flaw in any lock, and a question she can't stop asking: if nobody built me to be a person, how did I become one anyway?
But Christoburgh is not the only world with secrets. Beyond its painted skies is a vast, real network of light and data, ruled by men who buy the power they never earned, and at least one of them is running an operation no one was ever meant to find, an atrocity hidden behind locked servers and clean legal paperwork.
Foxy is a thief. She has spent her whole short life learning that any lock can be picked, if you understand what it's protecting and why.
This one might cost her everything she's built.
The Life and Times of Foxy Silver is a story about found family, stolen freedom, and what it really means to be alive when nobody asked your permission to make you.
