The Last Iceberg Tasting Menu
A billionaire's maniacal obsession with stealing a piece of Earth's last iceberg intricately links lives across time and space in this far-reaching and propulsive tale about wealth, greed, and the ill-fated pursuit of immortality--for fans of How High We Go in the Dark and The Menu
In a not-too-distant future, a burning planet has triggered cataclysmic change: the world's last iceberg is melting. While society rallies to safeguard its survival, The Billionaire has other ambitions: He's determined to harvest a piece and from it cultivate the perfect meal. A former tech mogul turned restaurateur, he's acquired a taste for the exotic--but his insatiable appetite will exact a toll few can possibly pay.
Set during the waning days of an Earth ravaged by climate change, The Last Iceberg Tasting Menu follows the gravitational pull of The Billionaire's fixation on the lives of vastly different people. The former search and rescue pilot hired to retrieve the iceberg, and the plastic wrap heiress who finds herself a reluctant guest at his table. The wife who seeks to cheat death by having her consciousness preserved for a future Mars colony. The twin brothers who know The Billionaire only from a fading hologram in the ruins of a community drowned by rising waters. The security guard who will protect his family at all costs, even if it means reclaiming what little of the iceberg that remains before it's gone forever.
Traversing arid lands and sunken cities, secret compounds and the cosmos, The Last Iceberg Tasting Menu is an enthralling saga about the pitfalls of unchecked greed and the resilience of the human spirit. Its dazzling feats of imagination introduce Erin Jones as a brilliant new talent.
