A sisters bond never goes away

The Language of Sisters is the second book by Amy Hatvany that I have read. This story tells of family disfunction and distancing where the heart still holds them together. Distant relationships due to hurt but bonding is still there between sisters. A good story about truth, healing, finding what is needing in ones life when doing what you know is right. I look forward to reading more of Amy Hatvany’s books.

Great...great novel!

This was my first novel by Yurk, I happen to love NAL Accent books. It was full of emotion. A great story about "making right" any wrongs you think you've committed. A perfect women's fiction book. If you like any of the NAL Accent books you'll love this one too. I'm only sad...it seems Ms. Yurk isn't around?! It doesn't appear her website is up and running. I hope she's still writing, becuase she did a great job on this one.

The New Revalation of Sisterhood with a cherry on top

Amy Yurk writes a good tale of what it is like to care for a disabled young women. When she writes about the kinship of sisterhood is displayed through Nicole and Jenny's relationship with tto put heir mother. The book had me on the verge of my seat. I wanted to stay up all night reading because the words create a firing sensation and the only way to put the fire out is by completing the book. I personally recomensd this book to young women who have sisters. This book opened a great oppertunity for me to want to help other people the way Nicole helped Jenny get through difficult times. Love it!!!!!!!!!!

I'm Buying it for Christmas Gifts!

I sure hope Amy Yurk is working on her third novel, because I loved this one. I think The Language of Sisters is the perfect gift for anyone with family issues because of a sibling who took an inordinate amount of family energy because of illness, disability, substance abuse or behavior problems. It really provides food for thought in an entertaining and yet heart-wrenching way. Whew. What a story!

A beautiful novel

This book touched me in so many ways that I almost find it hard to put it into words. Ms. Yurk illustrated the relationship between the two sisters so eloquently, when I was reading I almost felt like I was intruding on the bond that they shared. But at the same time I felt such warmth at being given the gift of being a part of something so special. Read this novel, and you will be rushed with feelings of sadness and grief, yet happiness and excitement all at the same time.
