Reading At The Beach: Reviews

Hilarious!! I haven't read the Sunday Comics in years. This book brought back all the memories of lazing around on Sunday morning laughing and laughing. One of my favorites was about a man who spilled beet juice on the floor and thought he'd scare his wife by lying down with the juice above his head. She comes in and goes "Whoo-Hoo!!" and screams "hey Fernando, c'mon over!!". Her husband jumps up and tells her he's still alive. She replies "Oh, I'm sorry. I thought someone beet you to death"!! Too funny!!! This would be a great book for adults or children. It's full of laughs, and what's better than that?

The Best of Knight

THE KNIGHT LIFE-"Chivalry Ain't Dead" by Keith Knight (cartoonist) is a collection of Mr. Knight's best cartoons. My personal favorite...Mr. Knight's wife, Kerstin, asking Keith if he caught the "enormous' spider, and he replies, " I don't think we see spiders the same way" and he lets free a little spider. I had to laugh because I look at spiders the same way as Kerstin. My daughter Kalia enjoyed the comics such as...the little girl who said she was going to grow up to have six husbands; when Gunther gave a cashier monopoly money; Gunther was in a wonder bra and Keith said someone needs a hug; Ms. Hanvey riding on a skateboard; when the wife was dressed in a grape suit and she was eating a pizza slice, a woman said "Shouldn't you be eating healthy foods?" The wife replied, "Mind your own beeswax." Also, when Gunther told him he probably enjoys pulling the beard off of Santa Claus, in front of children. THE KNIGHT LIFE -"Chivalry Ain't Dead" by Keith Knight is chock full of some funny stuff. It was great and had my eight year-old daughter completely entertained. She literally would laugh out loud at some parts. It is funny because when I received this book, I had put it to the side and when my daughter saw it she immediately thought it was for her, she grabbed it and was all into it. So it seemed fitting that she would be the one to really write this review. With a little help from me of course. The Knight Life was provided by the author for review purposes. GREAT COMIC BOOK

When my parents get the Sunday paper, I enjoy reading the comics. I have never seen the K Chronicles in my local paper. The Knight Life comics were hilarious, witty and sometimes sarcastic. So if you want a little laughter in your life, get a copy of this funny comic book. You will not be disappointed.

very funny

I use to always read the paper on a daily basis and I always enjoyed the comics. It has been a few years now since I have gotten the daily paper so I was not familiar with The Knight Life comic strip. What a shame I have been missing out on a really funny comic strip that I can really relate to. I loved this book it is a keeper.

Keith Knight is hilarious -- a gem of a comic strip!

It's been a while since I've read comic strips, and The Knight Life reminds me why I used to check the daily for the latest gem. Keith Knight's "autobiographical comic strip" pulls together everyday things and left me shaking my head, tabbing pages, and sharing the chuckles. In one strip, Keith dubs himself the "Chucklehead of Cheap," the "Friar of Frugality," -- and it so reminded me of someone that I know! Keith touches on immigration, gifting (re-gifting), weirdos on the bus, hoarding plastic bags, Trapper Keeper notebooks, Barack Obama, bi-racial relationships, Trader Joe's 2 buck chuck, taco trucks, junk mail, real estate, and bookcrossing's way of releasing books into the world and tracking them as they travel around the world. The "Life's Little Victories" series speak to me. The Knight Life: Chivalry Ain't Dead is a hilarious introduction to Keith Knight's witty comic strip. I'm glad to have found it!
