Great Short Read

If you are a fan of the classic Star Trek series, then you will enjoy this read. You can hear the original score in your thoughts as you read along. The story combines elements of a military chess match and the core plot of the episode "This Side of Paradise". While duelling with a new Klingon ship, the crew starts to exhibit out-of-character behavior that is affecting the Klingon ship as well. The scripting of the classic characters mimics the typical screenplay of one of the 60's series episodes.The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is that the book is exceptionally short. Perhaps the lack of filler is why I liked the book so much.

What can I say? I'm a Trek fan and can't get enough of it. While this book will not win a Pulitzer or Nobel prize, its a worthwhile edition to the Trek world.
