The belief in a "Supernatural Being" is universal and timeless in the human condition. It is as if it were genetic, passed on from one generation to another and, as many other genetically determined traits, influences the way we think and act. Religion is not the opioid it has been touted to be, it is an endogenous, integral part of us that makes us behave in a stereotypical, predetermined manner which all too often has been violent. Furthermore religion is not singular, but plural, and each and every one of the 4200 religions on this third pebble from the sun is considered by its possessor to be the True Word of God. Just as another genetic trait, skin color, has divided the human race, so has religion. Faith based conflicts have already claimed countless millions of lives, and further conflicts are a foregone conclusion. And what a blood soaked tale of conflict it has been to date But the tale is not over yet. Each god has proclaimed himself to be jealous and has demanded blood sacrifice. The Holy Books of all three Abrahamic Religions describe their god as having previously exterminated the human race with a world-wide flood, killing almost all humans, save Noah and company, as well as all plants and animals. Are we being set up for another mass extermination? This time by WMD's engineered to be mutually delivered by ourselves to each other in a crushing Crusade, in a final Jihad
