NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER - The "stunning" debut novel (Los Angeles Times) from the bestselling author of The Flight Portfolio--the inspiration for the Netflix series Transatlantic--is a grand love story set against the backdrop of Budapest and Paris, a tale of three brothers whose lives are ravaged by war, and of one family's struggle against the forces that threaten to annihilate it.

Living the War

This book started out a bit differently than I expected but it wasn't a bad thing. I found myself wanting to read more while wishing the book would end. The suffering and unknown events made it a very real read and stuck with me in my mind. The hardships suffered by so many in ways untold comes to life in this book. It put light on events that I had only read about or heard about in my youth. The author pulls you into a story where you feel you are part of it. Its not a light read, but a good one.

Excellent Read

Second book written by this talented author that I hater to put down.

History Comes Alive

As an avid lifetime reader and former high school English teacher. I have to say this is one of the best books I've ever read. If I don't care about the characters, I don't care about the story. In The Invisible Bridge I care deeply about the characters who struggle to survive against encroaching terror. The author subtly carries me along with the character through a myriad of emotions. She carefully builds the sense of impending fear of discovery. Throughout the story the author uses ordinary vocabulary in innovative ways that amaze me. She also introduces complex vocabulary. (I love learning new words!) I have only about eighty pages left and I don't want the story to end! I'm going to seek out another of her books. Hope she writes many more.
