New York Times bestselling author Stephen Frey keeps readers guessing to the very end with his action-packed thrillers of ruthless high finance. In this intricately plotted novel, he exposes the volatile world of million-dollar deals and the ambitious dreamers who will risk anything for a profit. Jay West is in a dead-end banking job when he is offered a coveted position trading stocks with a powerful New York City Investment firm. Even though he will have to accept a pay cut, he can earn a million-dollar bonus. But when a new co-worker is found brutally murdered, Jay suspects that instead of beginning a wonderful new career, he has stepped into a deadly conspiracy of deceit and corruption. As Jay uncovers dangerous truths, he discovers there is no one he can trust-and he'll need all his wits to stay alive. A former vice-president of corporate finance at a major Manhattan bank, Stephen Frey creates characters and situations that ring with stunning authenticity. Narrator Jack Garrett's dramatic interpretation heightens the intrigue and unstoppable excitement.
I find Mr. Freys stories to be fast and attention holding in fact of a real page turner it is. I have read all but one of his books and find the financial world very interesting. he potrays a lot of what is happening right now in 2003 but written back in 1998. I will continue to enjoy his writings.

This is one of those books that you get into earlier and can't stop thinking about. All you want to do is read it. It reminds me of Grisham's book "Street Lawyer".I highly recomend reading it...I think this is Stephen Frey's best book (I have not read Trust Fund yet)

The Insider keeps me current with all Frey's novels. He writes in a understandable way for people with limited insight in the world of high finance and throws in some dirty bad guys at the same time. Keep up the good work, I will be waiting for you next offering.

Frey continues to put out great books. He has a solid ability to develop the financial framework for his novels in a simple easy to understand manner along with the ability to deliver strong characters. I love the way to puts women is such a favorable light. I look forward to the next one. If his publisher was smart he would lock Frey up for the next 5 books! ASA rules
