Clever Girl eludes a Detective hired to Bring her HOME~ excellent~

Dee has lost both her parents in a tragedy and her LESS THAN LOVING AUNT AND UNCLE become her guardians~ she is NOW VERY RICH and her Aunt and Uncle treat her like dirt~ so she decides to disappear~ Dee was raised with NO ONE showing her much affection~ she is very pretty and bright AND INHERITS A FORTUNE AND A NASTY MEAN SPIRTED AUNT AND UNCLE WHO BECOME HER GUARDIANS~ they discuss ways ways to get rid of her and she hears so she carefully plans a way to "escape" and run away~ the part here is we see why DEE wants to do it and the added FUN is we feel like we are escapig with her from HIDING in the attic to the moving on to a new ID and living in a far away town~ hot on her trails is Detective Mike Carridine who seems to have radar on how to catch her~ when he CATCHES up it is a fun battle of the minds on how she can elude him again~ this is a fast paced fun little romance with a girl who has a clever mind and we love her from page one~ Carpenter moves a quiet hero into place and next thing we know they will fall hard and fast but adds the suspense of HIRED killers to trail both the detective and girl to finish off the "job"~ I GIVE IT A 10 OUT OF 10 FOR LOW KEY HERO BUT SMART WHO TRACKS DOWN ONE OF THE BEST YOUNG HEROINES I HAVE FOUND AND WE END UP WITH A GOOD STORY AND BUILDING ROMANCE~ GREAT READ I READ IT ONE DAY~ HARD TO PUT DOWN~
