Excellent resource for Understanding End Times

This book by the late Mr. Robert VanKampen is an excellent aid to understanding the Biblical view of the end times and Daniel's 70th week. It is a fictional story involving fictional characters that go through a Bible based end times scenario. It is thrilling, suspenseful and well written. A great accompaniement to ,-The Sign an in-depth study of the Bibles' revelation of God's plan for Christ's return and the events leading up to and following this. A must read for all Christians and others wanting to understand the times ahead.

A book of hope

I was introduced to this book by friends who had just returned from the Holy Land. It is a novel in the vein of those by Frank Peretti, with a good story, lots of suspense and above all, a Scriptural basis.Whether or not you believe in, are familiar with the Pre-Wrath teaching or not, this book is a wonderful read. After reading it myself, I read it aloud (with some editing due to the age of my children) to my family as we traveled. My children were on the edges of their seats saying, "Read more, Mom! Read more!"My reason for doing so was this, if anything ever happened to myself and/or my husband, and my children had to stand alone, I wanted them to have an unshakable picture of the overwhelming victory of Christ in the end of time so that no matter what obstacles they might face in their lives, they would continue to cling to the hem of His garment and NOT LET GO! This book gave that picture.If that is the desire of your heart, then read this book, first to yourself and then to your family in the event you feel you need to edit it a bit. There is nothing trashy, just some items, like artifical insemination, which I didn't want to go into with my younger children.

It speaks a lot of truth about the future.. many r afraid.

I like it. I love it. Yes, I am a bible believing person. I am a christian. I've read the scriptures concerning the End Times. Everything in the book that happens goes according to scripture. There's only one thing, nobody's certain whether the rapture will happen before the tribulation period, or in the middle. But, it's very true to life. Many are afraid of what will happen during this time. BE REST ASSURED... IT WILL HAPPEN. It may be listed under "fiction" but that doesn't mean that it's not real. That just shows where people hold it in their esteem. If you read the bible, you can find out exactly how many of the old testament prophecies were fulfilled about Christ... it will shock you to know that all of them, (except those that will be fulfilled in the second coming) have been fulfilled. Also, the bible has never been proven wrong. NEVER. I've read and seen the truth. Please read the Bible, then read this book. If you are a christian who doesn't totally understand what the tribulation will be like, read this book. I think it's worth 5... not 4... stars

excellent end-times novel

This book would be too far-fetched to even be good science fiction if it weren't for the fact that it WILL happen. And the fact that it will happen would be absolutely terrifying if we didn't already know the ending. Van Kampen is to be applauded for his close adherence to Scriptural predictions.
